Dr. Marie-Josée Cardinal

Dr. MJ Cardinal was born and raised in Cornwall, graduated from École Secondaire La Citadelle and from the University of Ottawa where she obtained a Bachelor in Sciences with a specialization in Health Sciences. She pursued her studies at the New York Chiropractic College (N.Y.C.C.) to obtain her doctorate in Chiropractic medicine. While at N.Y.C.C., she obtained a physiotherapist certificate, became certified in Graston technique (instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization), Kinesio-taping, with electives in nutrition and cellular detox. Dr. Cardinal is certified to practice in the USA and Canada.
Dr. Cardinal has been in practice for 13 years as a chiropractor and a health coach. She has been at the helm of a successful weight loss clinic, changing lives through healthy eating and active lifestyle. She is an avid runner and understands the importance of a well-nourished and adjusted body. Dr. Cardinal spends a lot of time with her patients, every chiropractic treatment lasts close to 30 minutes utilizing customized techniques to individual needs.

Sarah Despatie

Sarah Despatie (nee Bray) grew up in Cornwall and attended Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School. After graduating with honours and as an Ontario Scholar in 2008, she attended the University of Ottawa and obtained an Honours Bachelor degree in Health Sciences. Upon graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2012, Sarah was accepted into the Masters of Science, Applied, in Physical Therapy program at McGill University. During Sarah’s time at McGill, she was selected to be a student therapist for the varsity basketball teams, and traveled with the men’s team to the CIS National Championships in 2014. Since graduation, she has become certified in the McKenzie technique, assessing and treating concussions via the Shift Concussion Management program, performs gait and running analysis for the prescription of orthotics and running programs through The Running Clinic, certified to complete Functional Movement Screens, is a certified GLA:D Canada Practitioner, and most recently became a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist. Upon completion of her Masters in Physical Therapy in 2014, Sarah was proud to return home to Cornwall and give back to her community, and continue to offer her services at her clinic, Cotton Mill Rehab. In addition to this, she enjoys giving back to the community by volunteering with various organizations. She is currently on the board for the Boys and Girls Club of Cornwall and SD&G, a member of the Cornwall Triathlon Committee, and a founding board member of the Cornwall Rowing Club.

Charlie Graham

Born in Ontario but raised in BC, Charlie returned in 2014 to attend the International Academy of Massage in Ottawa. Upon graduating and working for two years in the nation’s capital, he returned to Vancouver to work in a multi-disciplinary clinic. Now living in Cornwall with his wife and young children, he’s accepting new clients for relaxation massage as well as more targeted deep-tissue treatments.
Charlie has treated a wide range of clients for sports massage treatments, pre-natal care, and postural dysfunction, using Swedish massage as a base and applying modalities such as trigger point therapy and fascial blading and cupping. He’s excited to continue helping people reduce chronic pain and their functional movement with orthopedic assessment and the right combination of soft tissue techniques.
Charlie has trained in martial arts for over ten years, primarily in Chinese kung fu but also boxing, kickboxing, and Capoeira. He’s also participated in the lion dance celebrations for Chinese New Year for over ten years. He’s an avid fan of travel and has visited Europe and southeast Asia, and lived in Japan and Australia.

Chantal Mageau-Pinard

Chantal Mageau-Pinard is a physiotherapist who graduated from the University of Ottawa in 1995. She has a strong interest in neurological rehabilitation, including stroke and Parkinson’s disease; with a focus on gait training and helping clients achieve meaningful functional goals. She has completed advanced adult NDTA (Neuro-Developmental Treatment) training for the treatment of hemiplegia, using hands-on therapeutic handling to improve movement, skill development, and participation in daily activities. Guided by integrity, compassion, and strong work ethics, Chantal is passionate about providing care closer to home to support recovery, functional independence, and quality of life. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and bike packing while discovering new cultures and landscapes.

Christian Séguin

Christian Séguin graduated from the University of Ottawa in 1997 with a B.Sc. in Physiotherapy and more recently obtained a Clinical Doctorate in Physiotherapy in 2015. Following his Sport Physiotherapy Canada (SPC) Sport Certificate (1999) and Sport Diploma (2001), he has been serving regularly as Canadian Team Physiotherapist and Chief Therapist for multiple international games. Every year, he assists as examiner in the national examination process for the SPC division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA) and serves as Chair on the SPC Curriculum Review Committee. Christian successfully completed the Clinical Specialist program through the CPA in the field of Sport Physiotherapy. Since 2001, Christian’s interest and training in forensic rehabilitation has been put to use for the Superior Court of Ontario.

Hilary Veenstra

Hilary Veenstra grew up in Cornwall and graduated from St. Joseph’s Catholic Secondary School as an Ontario Scholar in 2014. She then attended the University of Ottawa and obtained an Honour’s Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics. Upon graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2018, Hilary was accepted into the Masters of Science in Physical Therapy program at the University of Toronto. During Hilary’s time in Toronto, she took a particular interest in the role of physiotherapy in cancer care. Hilary successfully completed a Rehabilitation Strategies for Patients with Cancer course, and was an attendee at the First Annual Geriatric Oncology Conference. Hilary was glad to move home to Cornwall in early 2020. She is eager to provide care to the members of the community where she was raised. She strives to assist her clients in reaching their goals, increasing mobility, managing pain and improving overall quality of life.
